Potential Digipak Images

The pictures below are ones which I took when preparing for my digipak. Some of them were better than others, and therefore more appropriate for use. I went to two different locations with brick walls for the background as I was not sure which kind of brick wall would have looked better for my kind of music video. One brick wall was lighter and more worn away. The space in front of it was very open also, which meant that the sunlight could hit the wall more than in the other location.
The other brick wall was darker and more blocked off, which meant that the sun could not reach the wall as much. This gave the photos a darker and gloomier effect - however, this was not the desired effect.
Photo's I like/probably will use:

My artist in this photo is very serious and I like the pose. This was one of the photo's that I quite liked (there are a couple of similar photos). However one negative to this photo is the leaves growing out of the ground as I feel that this ruins the photo, and may make the photo unuseable.

Once again, I like this photo for various reasons such as the pose. I like that my artist is looking off of the screen. I would have liked him to have seemed more cheerful as I think he seems deep in thought here, however I still really like the photo.

Out of all of the photos where my artist is posing in this way, this one is my favourite as he is looking directly into the camera, and the pose is perfect. His face isn't too angry however he is not too cheerful which was the look I was going for. His face contrasts his outfit which adds something different to my genre type.

I really like these photos because he looks very casual, relaxed and 'typically cool'. the wall and floor is very clean and I like the look of the photo. The only thing about this photo is that there is a drain in the very corner, however I could crop that part of the photo out and still use the image, as I really like it. The image fits the genre and looks professional.

This photo is at the previous wall and I like the closeness and personal side of this image. It looks like the artist is connecting with the audience in an intense way. He sort of looks intimidating which would be perfect for some genres. I like this image however I would need to try and see whether I could make it work for my digipak.

Once again I like this image, however his face is very serious to the point where he seems angry. This is not suitable for my music video and genre.

Photos I dislike/am unlikely to use:

My artist is looking completely off of screen, but also not engaging the audience. His arms are crossed which could imply that he isn't bothered about being there, he is bored or he is feeling down or aggressive. This image is not a good one due to the pose, body language and facial expressions being used. I also do not like the way the artist's leg is placed.

One again, my artist looks bored, his feet are placed weirdly which makes the image seem off, and I just generally dislike the image. I do not think this is aesthetically pleasing. Personally if I saw this image on a CD cover or a magazine, I would not want to buy the product.

The reason why I dislike the two images above is because I feel like the artist seems disinterested and I don't like the pose or the placement of the artist on the screen. In the second image, the brick layout is off and I just dislike the two images.
